DEATH NOTICES

CHECOTAH – Kathy Johnson, 73, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. No services scheduled at this time.

WARNER – Kenneth Leroy Hodges, 78, passed away February 18, 2025 at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Services were held February 27 in the Student Union Ballroom at Connors State College in Warner, OK.

EUFAULA – Kimberly Kaye Wise, 64, passed away from this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her home in Eufaula, OK. No service scheduled.

EUFAULA – Michael Anthony Brillo, 68, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Muskogee, OK. Graveside services were held Friday, February 28 at Fields Cemetery.

COUNCIL HILL – Opal Ophildia Zook, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025. A memorial celebration was held February 28 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel.

HANNA – Arnoldo Amadeo Tapia Sr., 84, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 in Tulsa, OK. A memorial will be held at a later date.

EUFAULA – Willie Mae Wilkerson, 69, passed away February 25, 2025. No services scheduled at this time.

COUNCIL HILL – Randy Alan Bunch, 67, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025. A graveside service was held Saturday, March 8 at Council Hill Cemetery.

MUSKOGEE – Neil Acker, 74, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025. Arrangements were entrusted to Schaudt Okmulgee Funeral Service & Cremation.

EUFAULA – Bobby Lee Cooper, 74, passed from this life on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at his home. No services scheduled.

CHECOTAH – Kristina Marie Wilbanks, 51, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 29 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Eufaula Indian Community Center.

EUFAULA – Wilda Diana Powell, 74, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 in Tulsa, OK. No services scheduled.

ENTERPRISE – Ellis Marie Denny, 81, passed away March 2, 2025 in her home in Enterprise, OK. A funeral service was held March 8 at the Shiloh Assembly of God Church.

CANADIAN – Belinda Lee Williams, 69, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 in McAlester, OK. The family will conduct their own memorial service at a later date.

EUFAULA – Joyce Bonnie Lockeby, 93, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 in McAlester, OK. No services scheduled at this time.

EUFAULA – Mellissa Kaye Webb, 56, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 at her home. A memorial service was held Friday, March 7.

COUNCIL HILL – James Alvin Voigt passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 73. A funeral service was held Thursday, March 13 at Elm Grove Baptist Church.

TULSA – Roy Lee Berry, 70, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025. No services scheduled at this time.

HUGO – Opal LaVerne (Clark) Lane, 65, passed away March 9, 2025. Services were held March 14 at Miller and Miller Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.

PORUM – Christopher Wayne Muskrat, 47, passed from this life on March 9, 2025 at his home. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 15 at Lescher Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee, OK.

CHECOTAH – Gregory Kent Poole, 52, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025. Honoring Gregory cremation is planned. No services have been scheduled at this time. The family will conduct a Celebration of Life at a later date in Louisiana.

CHECOTAH – Larry Dean Haste, 75, passed away peacefully on March11, 2025 in Muskogee, OK. Memorial contributions for Larry can be made to the Gideon International.

TULSA – Flora Ellen Edmondson passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the age of 103. A graveside service was held Monday, March 17 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah, OK.

WARNER – Shirley June Cox, 89, passed away peacefully on march13, 2025. The family will be planning a memorial service at a later date.

EUFAULA – Revoniah Lea Breazeale, former McIntosh County resident, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the age of 92. A Friends and Family Visitation was held Tuesday, March 18 at Garrett Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

CHECOTAH – Jonnell (Fuller) Clark, 74, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. No services scheduled at this time.

CHECOTAH – Kathy Darlene (Tyler) Dudley, 68, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, in Muskogee. A Family Directed memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 22 at 1 p.m. at Oktaha Gospel Church.
