On March 27 Checotah FFA members put in a long day, hitting two contests.

The Livestock Judging Team and the Meat Judging Team traveled to Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton early in the morning.

The livestock judging team was the Champion High Team.

The team also was the High Reasons team.

Shayla Dismukes was the 4th High Overall Individual and 6th High in Reasons.

Rylee Howell was the 9th High Overall Individual.

Jade McPeak was the 2nd High Individual in Reasons.

The Meat Judging Team was the 19th Overall Team.

That afternoon some of the public speaking students traveled to Jenks for their annual speech contest with Mr. Ilbery.

Jade McPeak was 1st Place in 8-10 Grade General Agriculture, 1st Place in Agriscience and 2nd Place in Animal Science.

Rylee Howell was 2nd Place in FFA Creed and 3rd Place in Junior Extemporaneous.

Avery Williams competed in the FFA Creed Division.
