Victory Christian defeated Eufaula Varsity Ironheads 9-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to five runs in the first inning. The Ironheads fell to 4-9 on the season. Victory Christian jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jacob Earnhardt homered to left field, scoring three runs, Tyler Klugh singled, scoring one run, and Journey Boswell drew a walk, scoring one run.

Victory Christian added two runs in the second after Eufaula committed an error. Jake Butterfield earned the win for Victory Christian. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and one run over six innings, striking out eight and walking one. Hayden Robinson pitched four innings in relief for Eufaula Ironheads. The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs (zero earned) while, striking out none and walking one. Carson Luna took the loss for Eufaula. The pitcher went three innings, surrendering seven runs (five earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking four.

Connor McAllister went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Luke Hodgins, Carson Luna, and Connor McAllister each collected one hit for Eufaula. Eufaula turned one double play in the game. Victory Christian accumulated 10 hits in the game. Jacob Earnhardt drove the middle of the lineup, leading Victory Christian with four runs batted in.

The cleanup hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Jake Butterfield and Tyler Klugh each collected two hits for Victory Christian. Victory Christian turned one double play in the game.
