Oklahoma announced that this season it will be doing away with its traditional spring game in favor of the first annual Crimson Combine, the details and format for the new-look event have finally been set. The program on Thursday announced its official plans for the Crimson Combine, which is set to take place April 12 at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium as a culmination of the Sooners’ fourth spring under head coach Brent Venables.

The event will take place at 1 p.m. that Saturday, with Oklahoma billing it as a “fan-centric” experience meant to preview Team 131 ahead of the 2025 season.

When Oklahoma takes the field that day, it will be broken up into position groups consisting of offensive and defensive linemen, linebackers and defensive backs, and quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends, all of whom will complete a series of position-specific drills. The group-centric drills will last until 2 p.m., at which time, the north end of Owen Field will open to fans for a “Party at the Palace” event, while players will hold an autograph session on the south end of the field for fans in the stands.

The Party at the Palace will include activities for fans of all ages, including interactive inflatables, a Jordan Brand shoebox retail shop and a beer garden. The Sooner Schooner, Big Red Rocket and select trophies will also be on display for photo opportunities for fans in attendance.
