Helen Lynn Snowden

March 12, 1939 – April 19, 2025

Born Helen Anette Lynn on March 12, 1939, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Edward Harbison Lynn, Sr. and Helen Murray Lynn. She grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma and graduated high school there.

She attended Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia from 1957-1958, and graduated from Oklahoma University in Norman, Oklahoma in 1961 with a Business Degree.

She is survived by her husband, James C. Snowden, her three children Susan Savoie (husband, Randy – Dripping Springs, Texas), Cindy Redmond (husband, Steve – Panama City Beach, Fla.)) and Chris Engleman (wife, Miriam – McKinney, Texas); three grandchildren, Hannah Fowler (McKinney, Texas), Abbey Leos (husband, Austin Richardson, Texas) and Erin Engleman (New York City).

Also, two great-grandchildren, Annie Sue Fowler and Samuel Warren Fowler.

Anette has been living in Sun City, Georgetown, Texas since 2005.

Anette and Jim met in the Sun City Solos Club and were married in Georgetown on Jan. 23, 2015.

Anette’s church base was The Worship Place where she sang in the choir for years. Anette started an interior design business in Midland, Texas in the mid 1970’s – Accents by Anette.

She continued the business in the Dallas area and long after her move to Sun City as well. She helped hundreds of clients over the years. This was her true passion!

Having been a majorette in high school, Anette stepped into the Georgettes Dance Drill in Sun City for five years – a perfect fit!

She was also involved in line dance and was part of the theatre group doing makeup for the shows.

She leaves behind the many friends that she and Jim have made here in Sun City.

On April 19, 2025, Anette joined many of their old friends in heaven.

She will be laid to rest at The Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
