An 86-yearold Prague woman drowned Wednesday, April 30, when the car she was driving was overcome by high water.
Eileen Sanders was driving her 2020 Chevy Trax west on East 1020 Road in Lincoln County at about 3 p.m. when it entered high water and was swept away, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Sanders and passenger Jackie Lee, 58, also of Prague, were able to exit the vehicle but the driver went under the surface and did not resurface, the OHP reported.
Lee was rescued by the Prague Fire Department.
