Warner Public Schools name Chadd Gehrke as new basketball coach
By Rodney Haltom sports EDITOR,

WARNER — A new era is set to begin for Warner basketball as Warner Public Schools have announced the hiring of Chadd Gehrke as the program’s new head coach.

Gehrke brings energy, experience and a passion for developing student-athletes to the Eagles program, and school officials are confident he will make an immediate impact both on and off the court.

Gehrke brings 14 years of teaching and coaching experience, including 10 years as a head coach. His coaching background includes time as an assistant girls and boys basketball coach at Rejoice Christian School, assistant boys basketball coach at Metro Christian Academy, head boys basketball coach at Gore High School and Sallisaw High School, and most recently head girls basketball coach at Chouteau-Mazie Public Schools.

The hire signals a renewed commitment to building a competitive program rooted in fundamentals, discipline and community pride. Gehrke is expected to focus on player development and establishing a strong culture as he takes over the reins.

Known for his leadership and ability to connect with athletes, Gehrke’s coaching style emphasizes teamwork, effort and accountability, qualities Warner hopes will translate into success in the coming seasons.

Players and supporters alike are already looking ahead with excitement as the Eagles prepare for the transition. With a fresh voice leading the program, the focus now turns to offseason preparation and laying the foundation for the future.
